Moth & Magpie is a one-woman owned and operated home fragrance company, based in the heart of Stirling, Scotland. Everything I make has been carefully designed to fully immerse yourself in worlds of fantasy and fiction, allowing you to escape the real world from the comfort of your own space.
I'm often on the road, exhibiting at all sorts of events, from comic cons, to indie markets, to trade fairs. You can find my calendar of upcoming appearances here.
All products are handmade in-house, providing that hands-on touch while maintaining a standard of high quality. Everything is completely CLP and trademark compliant, and I use top-grade renewable materials from local suppliers. I develop and create all our products myself, and I'm more than happy to take custom orders and collaborate with other small businesses and retailers.
Hey, I'm Evie of Moth & Magpie! I'm the founder, owner, candle-maker, customer service rep, admin, event staff, and pretty much every other job that needs doing-er.
I’ve always been sensitive to scent – my dad has always said it was a shame I don’t drink, as I’d make a great whisky-taster. To me, the greatest feeling in the world is being able to shut out the noise and smells of the outside world, to light a candle and dive into a good book or film, having complete control over my space.
I’ve been making candles since 2021, which is the perfect way for me to combine this with the creative side of my brain. Product development and design is my favourite part of my job, and I absolutely love diving headfirst into a concept, matching fragrance and visuals to a theme.
When I'm not working, I'm probably in the pole studio, hanging out with my partner, or reading in bed (obviously with a candle lit!).
